Mr. Ordinary: Steph Jones

Far from ordinary, Houston born and Missouri City, Texas bred Steph Jones is one of R&B's rising stars. Recently signed to Disturbing Tha Peace/Def Jam, Jones says this of his "out of the box" music: "I don't limit myself so I'm able to switch styles, going from jazz, R&B, hip hop, soul, alternative to pop without hesitation."

Jones began his career as a Ford model, working for labels such as Tommy Hilfiger, GAP, Enyce, and made appearances in music videos for Destiny's Child and Faith Evans. But his vast accomplishments in the modeling world pail in comparison to his newly found love of music. Believe it or not, Jones started to develop his voice in college.

His sound: smooth, soulful, and reminiscent of the past, qualities lacking in today's music. His goal: "to put that real good feel good back into music." Steph Jones has proclaimed himself as "Mr. Ordinary," but in actuality, the depths of his music and humble personality spur him close to the extraordinary.
